Materials & Construction
Beneath the ultra-soft, shaggy long-pile plush exterior, the Brown Cow uses two enclosed weighting systems. Glass beads are permanently secured inside the limbs. The belly contains a separate ceramic-bead inner pack enclosed in a protective fabric pouch.
The complete belly pack is removable, but the ceramic beads remain sealed inside it. Neither the glass beads nor the ceramic beads are designed to be taken out individually.

Keep the beads enclosed: Do not cut open the plush or the inner pack. Loose glass or ceramic beads are not intended to be handled by the user.
Using the Removable Belly Pack
To warm
Remove the complete belly pack and microwave it on high for 1 minute. Touch-test it, then add 30–60 seconds if needed, up to approximately 1 extra minute. Never microwave the whole plush.
To cool
Place the clean belly pack in a sealed bag and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes. Do not freeze. Let it return to room temperature before microwaving it again.
Wash, Dry & Re-Fluff
- Remove the complete ceramic-bead belly pack.
- Leave the permanently enclosed glass beads inside the limbs.
- Place the plush body in a mesh laundry bag before machine washing.
- Dry thoroughly on low heat, then gently shake, pat and brush the long pile to restore its fluffy finish.

Which part can I remove?
Only the complete ceramic-bead belly pack is removable. The glass beads stay permanently enclosed inside the limbs, and the ceramic beads remain sealed inside their fabric pouch.
Can I microwave the whole Brown Cow?
No. Remove the complete belly pack and microwave only that pack. The plush body and the glass beads inside its limbs must never go in the microwave.
Can I wash it with the glass beads inside?
Yes. The limb beads are permanently enclosed and remain inside. Remove the ceramic-bead belly pack, place the plush body in a mesh laundry bag and follow the washing instructions above.

It did take quite a while to arrive. I am quite happy with the highland cow overall. The horns and inside of the ears are a lovely soft contrast fabric. The overall fur could be a little thicker and plush. But I love the weight and the legs are perfectly weighted.
